Because We Are

NEW COLLECTION - WORK IN PROGRESS! 

Although I have spent most of my adult life living outside South Africa, my country of birth has never left me. Its diversity, the colours, the energy, the deep sense of human connection, continue to surface instinctively in my work.

This collection, which is a work in progress, began with a return to my roots, though it didn't really begin - it has always been there. The paintings are built through accumulation: layer upon layer of colour, gesture, and form. Floral shapes emerge across the canvas, never fixed, never controlled, growing the way we do - through the people and places that have shaped us, and continue to shape us.

Bright, vibrant, and alive with movement, these works carry the energy of a place that has always had my heart.

BECAUSE WE ARE is a collection about belonging and the power of human connection. We are because of others.
