“Ag man” (pronounced “uch”) is one of those distinctly South African expressions that can mean just about anything, depending on how you say it. It can be frustration, disbelief, affection, resignation, or simply a way of saying, “Oh, come on!”
The language and humour of my South African childhood have stayed with me, even after all these years. Ag Man is about those moments when life is a little ridiculous, a little frustrating and perhaps best met with a shrug, a laugh and a colourful “Ag man.”
