Acrylic and Charcoal on Canvas
"Howzit" is one of those South African words that says hello, how are you, what’s happening, and somehow manages to feel like all of those things at once.
I grew up with these little expressions of warmth and connection, and although Australia has been home for a big chunk of my adult life, they’ve stayed with me. Howzit is a playful nod to where I come from, and to the people, language and everyday moments that make us feel like we belong.
